I have been trying things so I can put numbers on numberplates for my truck, and signs on the door etc.Printing on expensive paper in reverse and ironing it on,then it moves.all a lot of trouble.
I have come across some easy to use paste made by the same company that makes cloth dye etc DYLON.It says for cloth etc.I am using it on wood then putting clear over it.Works great so far.No need to use an electric iron to put it on
It is Less than $8.00 at Lincraft Still playing with it.
You need to print on inkjet paper with ink set fairly heavy, like for photo etc. in reverse if usinf letters and numbers. You lose a bit of color but not a lot in the process.
It would be ideal for Tom's Toy Garage HERE (http://www.woodworkforums.com/showthread.php?p=996109#post996109)
Dylon image maker HERE (http://www.dylon.com.au/cc-imagemaker.htm)
This looks like a big add for Dylon, but it is the only product that I have found that does the job without a whole lot of Fooling around .I have no connection but wish I had.Maybe it has been around awhile,I have been asking for something like this but no one seemed to know.:2tsup::2tsup:

Hi Guys
John WOP works fine over the transfer I tried several clears.estapol, WOP, spray enamel etc all OK
Wheely, that paper is greatt as well.I have some It is fine if you want to print a lot of things at once. Not much good if you only want one or two small transfers and cutting them off a large sheet
Great stuff though.---You have me looking where did I put in:C:doh:

I used inkjet paper but set printer to photo paper setting to get plenty off ink on the inkjet paper Just try your own printer yours may be different.Aussie:2tsup:
