Hello All
I have not cotributed much as I have been extremely busy in addition to the heaps of wood turning I have just completed. Of all the platters I have done in the last 3 weeks, these are my favourites. They are both Jarrah burl and approximately 40cm across and finished with approximately 10 coats of Danish oil. The other 'bowl' is also Jarrah and finished in Danish oil. This 'bowl' was the result of having a couple of reds whilst turning (creative juices) and is a bit arty for me, but I do like the grain.
Comments welcome
Regards
Willy

First one is my favourite. Looks awesome.

I like the shape of the jarrah bowl, but is it too heavy?

Cheers,
Dave

another vote for the first one... and for me there isn't a hope in hell I would have even put the last one on the lathe at the stage I am at now:-

Nice work Willy:2tsup:

Well done all look really good:2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:

I think my pick would be the last one for that real rustic quality:2tsup:
and it can double as a colander:U

Willy, I like them all too! :2tsup:

My pick is the "plain" one, no burl but is seems a great shape. At least from 3000kms away.

I don't drink red wine, but if that centre bowl is the result of one or two, this old girl may change tack. BEAUTIFULCheers,
Shirley
