Hi Everyone I had a bit of fun today with the New Lathe. I Mounted a Bowl that I had
rough turned to 10mm about a Month ago and left to dry .the Wood is of a branch of Apricot, and it was part of the Crutch where about 6 branches went in all different direction. The lathe worked like a dream.:2tsup: The wood was still a bit Green so I put it in the MicroWave For 2 Minutes-at 30 seconds at time. For healt reasons this is best Done when Wife is out Shoping.:U
Finshed with 1 coat Sanding Sealer--1 coat Shellawax Cream and 1 coat Shellawax.
hope you like it.
Cheers Tony.:)

Photos -1-2-3 shows wood being Rough Turned.on the old WL18
Photo -5- shows a big crack--infact it's 2 branches crossing one over the other, filled it up with superglue.,

Looks great :2tsup:.

Be interesting to see how it survives as it dries completely and destresses.

Hi Neil I've turned Apricot Before and found it to be very stable and it does also
tend to hold on to the Bark as well. I Turned this about a Year Ago and it as not moved.
Cheers Tony:)
