MJ, it's 25.4mm!!

Not always an issue with wood. Steel's another matter.

This helps in the shed: click (http://www.woodworksupplies.com.au/category99_1.htm)

BTW, what's a pulley? LOL.

Rum Pig,

I have a neat little desktop application that I wrote that does mm to inches.

MM2IN Executable (http://www.temecularodrun.com/scripts/MM2IN.exe)

I also have a cool current calculator that is handy when trying to figure out how large of a breaker you might need on a machine, granted it's not perfect but it will give you a good idea of a proper size running load.

Current Calculator (http://www.temecularodrun.com/ref/Current_Calc.exe)

I also have a little gearing calculator that used standard teeth specs to determine gear speeds based on replaced gear sizes, but I don't have it packaged yet. And yes, I wrote the Pulley Speed Calculator (http://www.temecularodrun.com/ref/rpm_calc.asp) as a tool when I was rebuilding my 1949 Parks Planer, seems to have been found useful, it's been linked to sites all over the world!

Go figure. Enjoy!

mgfranz,

Thank you for all your calculators. Most useful.

In 1965 I worked for Northrop Ventura and would drive from north of LA to the El Centro NAS to photograph Apollo capsules dropped from an Air Force C-133. I used to go the back way down 79 & 78 through the Anza-Borrego Desert.

A sliver haired lady in a restaurant near Warner Hot Springs made 25 pies a day. I always stopped for pie and coffee there.

The country around Temecula was pretty then, I hope not too covered with houses now.

I haven't been down to Warner Springs in quite a few years, use to go dirt bike riding out in Ocotillo and drove past the Springs. Don't know which restaurant you are talking about, but there were only two if I remember correctly.

I got here in 1990 when the population was only 23k, it is now over 100k... It's funny you mention that since I have been to NC a few times and would actually love to live there! Temecula still has a few spots that are decent, but it's so overgrown, it's no longer a bedroom community.

Thanks for kind words.

Mark

The infamous RPM/Pulley Calculator has been upgraded to version 2.0. Same great program, just cleaned up a bit and a help file included. :D

Still available at RPM Calculator (http://www.temecularodrun.com/ref/rpm_calc.asp)
