Would it be fair to assume that using the Triton Router with only two mounting bolts it is not practical to make a jig to obtain horizontal routing usage?

Horizontal or vertical, it still has the same amount of power acting on the two bolts :D
If you think the weight might be a problem then a bracket will give some additional support.
