1:
Bowl from a single board (more correctly, two boards dovetailed together). Radiata Pine and Instia. . 240mm x 140mm. Finished with U-Beaut Traditional Wax.
2:
Lidded Bowl With Finial. Diodora and Instia. 120mm x 135mm (including finial. Finished with EEE and Trad wax.

Great work on both John!
I always love the look of the dovetailed bowls. They always look intriguing, especially to people who don't know how they are made.
I like the finial bowl too!

Very interesting effect, and very well executed.:2tsup:
The grooves on the underside of the lid add a professional kick. Perfect placement, too.

I like the stacked ring concept as it doesn't waste wood and it is much easier than segmented. This one was inspired by Bob Hamilton.

That dovetailed bowl looks very cool though I'm sure the lidded box took more skill! Neat work!

Very nice alignment and joinery on the BFB. Also like the bowl and lid, but the finial not so much.

II'm a big fan o dovetails so you sucked me in immediately.
However, I really have to give the nod in this case to the lidded box/pot>:)
