As part of the 2010 Australian Woodturning Symposium it is planned to hold Hands-on classes for youth between the ages of 10 to 17 years.
Tim The Timber Turner will be heading the programme with other instructors helping out depending on the numbers in attendence.
Any one who knows or has someone that fits the age group and would like to be part of programme can encourage them to register by filling out the registration form available on the symposium web site Welcome to The 2010 Australian Woodturning Symposium (http://www.tymba.com.au)
There is also sessions for older people who have never had a go on a wood lathe. "The Come & Try" sessions will be a little different to the youth programme.
We are trying to encourage as many people as possible to experience turning and "Enjoy the Thrill of Making the Chips Fly".
