and hey if I can carve it well thats good to:2tsup:

now I know I still have a lot to work on with my turning
but was thinking I will list off the good and bad in turning

GOOD,
you ge tsomethink finished in a short time:D

Bad
you soon start looking at wood as how can I turn this
not how can I carve this:B

Good
all the bits of wood that are to little to carve I can turn:roll:

Bad
getting that 1st face full off chips:D

Good
the turners I have talked to are all nice people:2tsup:

Bad
working on the lathe to hear that bang crash as your work flys off the lath
and you jump 10 ft in the air:C

You all carver turners have an unfair advantage over us plain ole turners. While we can only make it round, you can do that and then create all sorts of interesting embellishments. Some really great Aussie and Kiwi carvers out there.
