Not sure about the 'Morris' taper tho - for when you do the lathe dance? :D

Only cost about $40 more for a MT2 to MT3 adapter. :D

Not sure about the single phase EVS motor either. The three phase should work fine with EVS.

1500lb construction... That's about 680kg. The VB36 comes in at a piddly 304kg, a Omega Stubby 1000 is 270 and a fully kitted Vicmarc VL300 long bed is 375.

That's a lotta lathe :o

Anyone calculate the $$ per kg? And does that seem (to those familiar with such high end items) to be a measure of quality? Just late night wondering.

Interesting, a gap bed lathe with a saddle and tip tools for what looks like reverse turning. Something that is very common in the metal turning lathes, dunno about the morris taper tho' :U

Never the less its a good innovation and rather timely considering Vicmarc is about to launch its monster. :2tsup:
