Greetings, has anyone tried the Carbatec style/price range thicknesser/planner combo's, I havnt got a clue what to get and ther is so much out there. I feel a bit daunted like is taiwain a good machinery manufacturer or is american better? I dont have an everyday requirement for this type of tool so I was looking at a mid priced unit but still wonder - will I still get accuracy and longevity.

Do a search for ML 392. There's been a lot of discussion and Bud Abbott has also put up a manual that you can download.

Have a good look at the ML 392 and don't forget to budget for a dust extractor unit (minimum 1HP). They are a necessity for any good combo unit to function properly.
