Not really into the camera thing but borrowed one from g'child and decided to show a couple of the numerous things I have been wasting time on.
The tootkpick holders are rock maple.
The single plate is oak. 200 dia X 200 high
Double plate is curly maple. lower plate 250 upper 200 height 200
The stand is going to be an oak floor lamp when/if I decide on what type of top and when I get back to it. The top shown is just one of several that were made for evaluation. The main base will be square with ball feet. Finished height about 1.4M.
This was a skew practice project that seemed like a good idea at the time.
Just some things to keep me from doing something useful.

Not bad for borrowed camera. Nice turnings too. Not a waste of time. We all have to be somewhere, doing something, all the time.

Whatcha doin? Nothin. You did that yesterday. I wasn't finished.

Nice work Phred :2tsup:. Seems like there's nothing new in this world :C - I drew up a design for a toothpick holder almost identical to that but it's still in the 'to do' pile :B. How have you held yours in the up position Phred ???? I was going to use a steel washer on the bottom of the cup and fit a magnet into the side of the body

those all look pretty useful to me
I reckon turning on the lathe and doing some turning and keeping out of the house is something useful :2tsup:
