Question:
Do you get tired of always having to reset the tool rest height every time you loosen the lock?

Try this. Place a hose clip (like on car heater hoses) to the tool post at the desired setting and tighten. This is handy for when you are turning the outside of the a bowl.

neat idea, thanks.

The other tip of Robbos that I liked was instead of using paper towell to apply polish, buy some flannel sheets from Vinnies and cut them up into 6" squares. Works out to be a cent or two per square. I store mine in a carboard box I received something in that turns out to be about 6" square by about 12" tall. Works brilliantly :2tsup:

G`day I think I would prefer to use a spacer instead. I use the post as it is.

Thanks DJ I didn't both looking for the original post knew it would be there somewhere.

I like the title though 's weekly tip maybe an idea for a new section of the forum (joke) we have so many tips daily.:2tsup:
