Thought this one was a little interesting, slightly odd but still cool

TechEBlog Coffee Table Made with Compact Discs and Intel Processors (http://www.techeblog.com/index.php/tech-gadget/coffee-table-made-with-compact-discs-and-intel-processors)

The post is a bit old, but I only just found it.

A Russian had a bit of wood, some CPUs and a bunch of CDs to play with and came up with this

I like it. Very good use of older CPU's. I used to have some 286's about ten years ago that went to another home. :U

Very good indeed. The Russians are masters of making do with what is around.
What else but a chess table.http://cdn.woodworkforums.com/images/smilies/actions/2thumbsup.gif

I'd love to start a chess game by saying 'You be Intel - I'll take AMD' :D But then again I'm a pretty big geek :-

I also wondered if you could laminate the CD's with some sort of glue and then turn them. Would probably be exceedingly dangerous given how brittle they are. Would look cool though
