I was green turning some Bloodwood I got the other day into bowls for drying and finish turning in the future. There was a slice left over I thought I would have a go at finish turning into a small natural endge dish/plate thingy.
I was turning with a bright light on one side as a guide to get it down to 1mm all over :oo:. I turned and wet sanded the outside with BLO to 800 grit in 30mm wide segments, so as not to put too much pressure on the joint. It looked good and uniform so I turned it over to finish the foot. I wanted a small foot to then sand away arcs and form little legs. Unfortunately whilst doing the final wet sand my concentration lapsed and I touched the outside :C It was about 200mm dia at the widest point.
