Been designing a tool trolley to use next to the new wood lathe, something that will function as a platform to put chisels on, hold chisels, chucks, sandpaper and all the other paraphernalia used in wood turning.
Was in our local Home Hardware today and spotted a Mechanics Tool Trolley with a slight difference. It has a moulded plastic top, with raised sides, as well as a flip-out bar for hammers and the like. It also has 3 drawers and 2 shelves.
It looked like the sort of thing I had in mind, on casters as well.
The moulded plastic top is ideal as I use micromesh wet for pen turning and this will be an ideal platform for that activity as well.
Third drawer from top takes Vicmarc VM120 chuck with std jaws as well as Nova G3 with 25mm Pin Jaws.
Best thing was the price, normal price is $257.50, on special for $99.00:2tsup:
After getting it home and trying to fit the various bits and pieces I was sold, sold enough to go back and get a second one for all my spanners, sockets, screw drivers and the like.
Will take a pic tomorrow with some of my chisels on the rack and in the drawers.
