Here's the bowl I referred to in my firewood bowl thread:rolleyes: (pics are much better this time)

I picked up this piece of Qld Maple from Mapleman at the Sydney wood show. Amazing figure in it and a really nice guy to deal with too:2tsup:

It was a square blank and I couldn't bring myself to turn it into a round blank so glued on some waste pine, rounded that and turned. After turning I cut the pine sections off to leave the square bowl. I overturned the middle and nearly went through but its good enough for me at home:D. Finish is Kunos Oil.
