I bought one a month back for $1050 including a spare set of blades. I am very happy with the choice.

Thanks Mat - that was a good price! Wasn't the 734?
One of the US BB's had a negative post saying that the blades dulled after 20ft of use, and left ridges in the finish. THere was also some talk of drive gears failing - any comments?

Definitely the big one - 735 two speed with chip extraction fan etc.
I have probably put through 40 feet with no sign of dulling. Blades are double sided and the unit comes with a spare set of blades - so 4 lots of blade before you need to buy new ones.
I was a little concerned about the gear problems - I was told by dewalt that this was upgraded for the Aus model but I have my doubts. However, as it comes with a 3 year warranty I considered that within this time it would show it's inherent weakness if any.

Ta for that. I still reckon that it's the machine for me. The local mob will have one here on Friday, which at $1200 has my name on it, as I won't be able to get to a show until Launceston next year.

The price quoted is the international price. For ausssies you have to add the 10%.

Tassie Kiwi,
They only had the 734 on display. When I asked the price of the 735, they couldn't help.

Thanks mate. I bought the ba5tard last night locally, $1200 including another set of blades (makes 3, as it comes with a spare set :D ). Ran some Mac and NZ Rimu through it. Magnificent. Will post some pix tomorrer.
My oath, does it make a mess:eek: Dust extractor on the way.
