Hey There,

Had a bit of time in the Shed today, (on Holiday till next Monday) grabbed a piece of Mulga and just listened to it and this is what we ended up with. I need to get (or make) a deep hollowing jigger, as the bottom is not as good as I would like:rolleyes:, i ended up with some Bark, some end grain, some knots, and all my fingers and thumbs, a happy lad, and LOML has something else to dust. It's about 80mm high and about 120mm dia, finished with EEE and then Hutts Friction Wax.

Thanks for looking.

Nice one, Hazza! That Mulga surely looks like our Mesquite! When it's fresh, it has that pretty yellow sapwood, and that Beautiful reddish heartwood, too. How hard is the Mulga?

Thanks Guys,

Hey Allan, it's pretty hard, I think that rsser has a number, i can't tell you what it means, but I know that you have to have the grinder handy while you are making things.

3820... wow! That'd make it harder than Paulopi or Ipe! Pretty hard stuff, I can understand keeping the grinder near. :2tsup:
