I am not an HSC student or even a TAS teacher, but I thought some people might be interested in this.
This article came from the local paper on 1st September this year.
Further details and other photos are on this site.
Blue Heron Kayaks • View topic - HSC Woodwork Project Completed (http://www.blueheronkayaks.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1655#p15486)
It was a bigger job than most HSC students would want to tackle, but Patrick was obviously prepared to put in the time necessary to get the job done.
My connection with the project was that the TAS head teacher at the local high school asked me to take a couple of my kayaks to school in the hope that it would inspire some students to try something different for their project. Patrick took on the challenge and I was on hand as a technical advisor.
