View Full Version : Turn Around 2000

RETIRED
14th September 2000, 04:31 PM
Gooday.

Another succesful Turn Around has been run at Philip Island and can be summed up by: Good food, good company and a great time had by all.

Turn Around 2000 had about 60 turners from all the southern states doing their own thing on over 40 lathes in the Gym at the CYC camp at Cowes. The talents of hobby and professional turners alike never ceases to amaze me. Complete novices were in their element getting the best tuition that can be had from all turners.

The Golden Chisel award (for services to Australian woodturning) this year was won by Ted Anderson (organiser of The Australian Woodturning Exhibition,
http://www.ubeaut.com.au/nats2k.htm ) and Neil Ellis, in my opinion, well deserved wins.

Neil will be putting up more info on the Turn around web page when he has some spare time.

Thanks go to Caroline, Bruce, Sue and Guilio for another successful weekend.
