Can anybody tell me the way interlocking captive rings are made? I have no problems with turning captive rings.

Thanks

I'm shocked Joe - does this mean there's something about wood turning that you don't know :p

i think i read somewhere that you could turn 2 and cut one open and slide the second in and glue it back together.

But if you absolutely MUST cheat, don't cut them, snap them along the grain, and carefully re-glue for a perfect invisible joint.

P (Not that I'd know about cheating of course).

If it is the work that I think that Joe is referring to: I think that is what he has done.
