I saw this Bow Sander on a canadian Web site. http://www.intarsiadesigns.com/bowsander/bowsander.html
What a great idea and a way of using the edges of an old 914mm sanding belt.
The price $C40 was a bit steep so Knocked one up from scrape wood using large screws instead of dowels and an adjustable threaded bolt at the end to tighten rotate and replace the belt. Works a treat doing those hard to reach places like between toes etc.

What a great idea! No more bleeding fingers and sanded down fingernails. http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com.au/images/icons/icon7.gif

This is a snap of my Bow Sander. The end adjuster is a Ring bolt attached by a ' L ' shaped holed plate. Made to fit a 914 mm belt.

Why would you want to sand between your toes, tinea? :D
Looks good but C$30 is a bit steep.
I'll go with your idea and may even adapt the plan for off the roll abrasive with some sort of tensioner at the end.
