Hi Everyone This is the third in a series of this type of Segmented work it is the smallest of them all at 80x65mm,it contains 7 different types of wood Mahogany=Box=Radiata Pine=Cypress=Spoted Gum=Huon Pine= and the Knob is Queen Ebony. 59 pieces of wood went in to making this Box.
Finished with EEE=Ultrashine and Shellawax Glow. In the last photo you can see a finial, I wasn't to happy with the way it looked so I re-turned it in to a Knob.
I must admit that I'm getting hooked on this type of segment work.
Cheers Tony.:)

I like it. At first glance it looked like gum leave drooping down the side.

Well done Tony!!! :2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:

They are all very appealing but that last one is my pick. It just has a bit of free spirit about it.

Thanks Tony, excellent work. :2tsup:

John If you're Interested I've also used a PVA cross-linking glue wirh very good results that I had left over when I instaled Floating floor board that i got from Harvey Norman the name of the glue is Teka and it comes in a 500 ml bottle
at half the price of Titebond is very good value. "No connections with Harvey Norman" I'll be going back to Teka when i finish with titebond.

Hi

fantastic effects you have in the segmentation. I have never had the patience to make segmented work. ( apart from when a piece explodes that is). I can see why you could get addicted to it.

Take care

Mark
