Bugga! :C Saw the title and thought somebody had found a source of the elusive round carbide cutters :C:B
Very nice looking bit of weaponry you've produced there Shaughnessy - but don't let 'em put it in the dish-washer :o. Is the cast button on the end a part of the kit or your own embellishment???

Thanks fellas....thats curly maple that has been treated with acid / heat and then a little transtint dye. The hardware kits for the metal cutter can be purchased from Rockler.com. I screwed it up a bit in that the handle is supposed to screw off and I broke the stem off so I stuffed the collar right into the handle, and epoxied it on. First time making one of these. The butt end leaf is cast, and epoxied. I appreciate your comments.

Im still trying to get someone to trade me some curly maple for your famous ringed gidgee down there.

Thanks for looking .......Larry
