hello folks
here's two new box's made with quilted burr maple

5" long by 2 1/4" dia

Beautiful wood, the first one is not really my favorite form, but well done. Now the second on other hand is Beautiful, just love everything you did with this piece, I would love to make one like this myself, good job.

Very nicely turned and beautiful looking wood Cornucopia.
I like both the examples.
We get some beautiful timber here in the Antipodes but nothing like some of the burrs you get up North.
Oh well, will have to settle for my Lace Sheoak, Birds Eye Jarrah, Goldfields Burls etc!

One question though, is the first round, if so what stops it rolloing off the table/mantle?

dai sensi: it is round and i am working on some prototype stands for it at the moment to allow it to be displayed better

I hope the mod's dont mind me digging up this thread but...
I have made a simple stand for the oval box- with the help of my new bandsaw :D
