Some lovely items there Ray, makes you want to carve wooden eggs. Some nice White Beech or Silver Ash would make a nice egg. Be nice to do some for easter.

Considering the price and the amount of work involved I would say the items under priced.

Nice one Ray :2tsup:

Rumour has it that Vern has done similar to the obverse sides of all his eggs, but is too shy to show in piccies

After reading the PDF on the processing of the Meerschaum to a cheese like consistency , I guess it would be easier to carve the Meerschaum than wood but as Hughie says the eggs would seem to be way underpriced .
Interesting

Rumour has it that Vern has done similar to the obverse sides of all his eggs, but is too shy to show in piccies :no:I wish! I'd be happy just to come up with the designs let alone the carving :o. Easy to see the Turkish influence on Celtic designs when you look at this guy's work.
