I thought I would post a few pics of my last project. Started segmented turning a few months ago, and after a few vases I thought I would try something different, and this I what I came up with.
It's a 456 piece didgeridoo, consisting of 38 rings of 12 segments each. It is about 1.5m long and is tapered from 75mm - 95mm with a 50mm bore.
Silky Oak is the main timber, with Aus. cedar spiralling through. The top and bottom caps are Tasmanian Myrtle.
Just have to learn to play it properly now!!
