As the heading suggets, I am after a new belt for my MC900 lathe. The original one is rubbish and fraying all over the place. Where do people get their belts from and what do you reccommend for an upgrade?

Cheers

almost every bearing supplier will carry belts, Hare and Forbes, Blackwoods, A E Bakers etc.
You will need "A" section and I think from memory its A25, anyway take your old belt with you as a sample

There is a BSC Motion Technology in Dandenong. I get all my bearings & belts from one of their stores in Brisbane.

They should have one

As to an upgrade....look at the Fenner link belts...(Blackwoods Etc) they run with less vibration, last longer and if there is any damage or breakage...just add a couple of new links. I swear by them.

Thanks everyone, I'll try some of the local farm supplies and bearing places.
