Just received our Shifty Link hardware catalogue and on the first page there is a chocolate making kit with it's own electric chocolate melter.
Now for memory chocolate melts at about 80c for moulding, which I think is the same as hide glue.
For 19.95 I figure that this could be a worthwhile investment.
Anybody else have any views on this?
Unfortunately out local store is out of stock until Thursday but the owner, also a woodworker, thinks that it could be feasable.
The investigation will continue.

Chocolate flavored Hide Glue?
Well it might be easy to clean up anyway!

Keep us posted. I'm also interested.

Interesting idea about the chocolate flavoured hide glue though. I think it would be better with a little pralein as well :-)
