here is the link for Sturt Wood School short courses in Mittagong NSW:
Short Courses (http://www.sturt.nsw.edu.au/course_short.htm)

check out the different courses, surely there is something for everyone.
(I think the workbench course with David Upfill-Brown sounds very tempting.:2tsup:)

and for the Ladies woodies week end:
http://www.sturt.nsw.edu.au/pdfs/short/Wood%20flyer_2_11.pdf

It is for women who would feel more comfortable without the blokes in the workshop. Two days, so no rocket science, just basic tools: drill, sander, bandsaw, router.

Give a ring to Dale or Mark 02 4860 2083 , they would tell you all about it.
Sturt School for Wood, Gallery and cafe is located in a beautiful garden, worth a visit.

I was just reading that you are from WA. It is a long way to come for a a week end course. Not worth it.
In Perth the Perth Wood school is very good, they would teach you everything you ever wanted to know. Fantastic workshop, packed with the very best of the best.
