Chains

I've always been fascinated by wooden chains, and recently had a go at carving one. I was so impressed, I made a second one :)

My first attempt used large links and was relatively easy to work with a 12mm chisel. Spurred on by my success I had a go at a smaller one, and this took much more time and effort and required a 3mm gouge to separate the links.

Other than novelty pieces, any ideas how to use/display them?

Ive seen them displayed with an anchor attached, i thought that looked effective. good job matey, im not sure that im up to doin a chain yet but its certainly on my dream list. :)
