Brown Mallee Burl platter

Hi All
Finished this today.
it is Brown Mallee and is 370 x 270 and is 50 high. sanded to 600 and 4 coats of Mirrortone Mirrocat 20/30 the odd shape made it real interesting to turn and sanding on the lathe was limited to the bowl part only:oo:

Looks like a hairy bit of turning BB.

I like the combination of rough and smooth; it's a handsome bit of work.

Graham, very handsome turning was certainly not so easy, it's for my taste more artistic than functional.
