Hi: Do you turners have "official" names for the types of feet on bowls?? I've seen the bottoms flush with an inset foot - an innie??, or the more classical outie?? a foot that extends from the base with a hollowed-out inside that matches the curve - are there proper names for these types - and are there others??

From memory Richard Raffan in Turned Bowl Design doesn't list names for feet.

Though I guess if the bottom is flush it strictly doesn't have a foot.

Otherwise ... ogee, full bead, half bead, cove etc etc.
