what is the best stuff to fill crack in spindal turnings example pens

Hi redturner,
Unless it is a real expensive bit, I would cut it off and start again.
But if you really want to fill the cracks, then Loctite 401 & a bit of very fine dust, should do the job. You may have to do it twice, & of course you most likely see the crack, anyway. Sometimes they look good & sometimes not.

When you come into Town, go to Kraft Shop in Shannon Town, Shannon Ave.
as they have Medium glue there for $8+, & it is not to bad.

Then again you can go to Carroll's in Drysdale. They have the Lot.

All depends on the result you want to achieve.


You can just fill with CA for that clear finish
If you want it to look like timber, used coffee grinds or sawdust with thin CA.
If you want a contrasting effect to stand out, use stone (malechite, turquoise etc), coloured resin, metal (brass, copper, gold, silver etc)
Even just black loooks Ok
