WL46 18x47 lathe

Noticed in the latest Woodturning magzine that Scheppach are now offering their version of the WL46 lathe (https://www.machineryhouse.com.au/W387) that Hare & Fobes sell.

Could be an interesting problem for Hare & Forbes as they are the Oz agents for Scheppach

Also note that H&F have increased the price of te WL46, despite the favourable exchange rate.
Perhaps in preparation for selling the Scheppach which is probably dearer?.

When I asked about the increase in price at H & F Brisbane the answer was the suppliers are increasing the price as it was costing them more to buy our raw product
I think your thought on it is closer to the truth

Rekon it great. Our dollar goes up and retail prices do the same. Thought the chinese money was not as high. RIP OFF AGAIN.

One of H&Fs favourite stunts is to up the price and then put it on "special" at the old, full, price in the next sale. They have done exactly that in their 3 day sale brochure, WL46 "on special" at $1595 "save $264".
