Hi All. it's been a while since I last posted, Just finished a Vase or is it Hollow Form? I think the opening's too big for a hollow form, Maybe someone here will let me know. I made it following Ray Allen's method.
It's made up of 225 segments, 128 just for the center ring, it took me over 7 hours just to cut and glue the center ring.
Wood used is Main body Beech= Red Gum= Box= New Guinea Ebony and Merbau.
Size 150 x 85 mm wall thicknes 5 mm , finished with EEE and Shellawax.
Cheers Tony.:)

Very nice, (excellent) :2tsup::2tsup::2tsup:
Joints are tight and finish is very nice. the contrast of the timbers works well, and the piece looks in proportion.

G`day nice work.:2tsup:If you are thinking about entering the piece in competition it is definatley would go in the laminated or built up section a hollow form is is measured by the largest opening which in this case would be diameter of the bowl hope that makes sense.
