I am posting this in the woodturning section as I consider all of you guys and gals here in this section as my long distance friends. Mod please feel free to move if need be.

It is with a sad heart that I let you know that my wife, Ann, has been diagnosed with a stage 4 brain tumor.
Radiation and chemo was started yesterday with 29 more treatments to go. We are trying to remain as positive as possible, but the tumor is Gliobastoma Multiforma which is the most aggressive type of carcinoma. We have been informed by the oncologists that it returns in the majority of people that have it.

Ann and I are Christians and we have a fantastic church family that is supportive in every way and are saying prayers for Ann's return to good health.
Wether you are Christian or not, please keep her in your thoughts for a successful outcome.

Thanks,
Ed

Ed, this is a bad message.
I hope the treatment goes well and quickly that Ann should get her health back.
My thoughts go out to both of you, and pray for a speedy recovery.

Ed,
I debated quite a bit before post this because I did not want to add to your burden in case the treatment was not available where you are.. So I did some Google search and it turns out that a treatment is available in Australia.
Go to
http://www.ted.com/talks/yoav_medan_ultrasound_surgery_healing_without_cuts.html (http://www.health.gov.au/internet/horizon/publishing.nsf/Content/6B81AEB3E7EE0001CA2575AD0080F344/$File/May%20Vol%2016%20No%206%20-%20MRI%20guided%20ultrasound.pdf)

and watch the video.
Then do a Google for ultrasound surgery Australia.

Ed, this news saddens both my wife and I. I can only hope that the doctors are wrong and that the treatment is successful.
