Turned into 50 caliber tooth pick holders.
Sanded to 400x, buffed with super fine steel wool and applied 6 coats of MINWAX Oil Modified Water Based Polyurethane.

Got to like this stuff as it dries hard within 1-2 hours compared to the Oil Based with takes 4 hours to dry hard.
Also the Water Based dose not jell in the can after a time exposed to air like the Oil Based.

Great work Les and beautiful finish. Would also be useful as a needle box or pill box. Terrific work as always.:2tsup::2tsup:

They re really nice and detailed turnings. And I do like the use you've put them to (guessing you don't turn the toothpicks yourself!)

Just one thing, they are made of Birdseye Maple but because of the size the effect of the Birdeye patterning is not visible.

Then again to a turner, there is no such thing as a bit of scrap wood.
