red cedar bowl

hi guys,
this is a bowl i made from a burnt log of cedar ,it was a pleasure
to cut away the blackened outside to reveal what was inside

sorry the photos are not too good,perhaps someone could tell me why they seem so big,should i resize the photos or something?:B
approx size of bowl 200mm x 120mm high

Nice save good job fire didn't take hold more or quicker. Nice colour and amazing shape love the top edge is that a result of the fire too.??

thanks for the comments,the top is natural, not carved,
when it stops raining i will take a photo of the log,
sorry i have not replied sooner ,been a bit busy
