Cliff Rogers is coming to Melb on the 21st of April so we thought a Get together was in order at Robbos Playpen.

Looking for suggestions on a theme for the day to do with turning.

It is going to happen.

Monday 16th to Friday 20th at the Sebel in Melbourne.

Going to try to come down Sunday 15th & stay til Sunday 22nd.

Hope to have a bit of time to work on some weird scrapers for detail on a bit of art by then.

I'll see what size bit of hoop pine I can fit in my luggage for a 'corroborative' platter.

It fairly plain & light but it can be decorated with burning, carving & dyes.

Arriving Tuesday before 17th weekend staying at my mothers, come over for weekend, then home again on the Monday 23rd.

Room for one more :?

Umm well the club has Guilio doing a demo and a workshop on the fri sat that
weekend for less then what cost to see him I can change a flight and see cliff
If u got room?

Ah, Well , I will bring something anyway.
Had 1 go at Photos, worked OK, but just can't seem to get it to work again.
Doing something wrong.

Ok update I have a appointment on the Saturday The 21st of April but I can get out of it will know by lunch time Friday

I'm looking at changeling my flight to Friday 20th if I can get a seat
Or the Saturday if I can :;

Tiff says go because she knows I enjoy the gtgs at robbos
I think I'd get more out Going to robbos then the workshop and demo with Guilio

I think I'd get more out Going to robbos then the workshop and demo with GuilioGuilio has been to 's so its nearly the same! :D

Cheaper than a Box of unused Sorby's, see Dave Pat didn't need to bring the Sorby tools up for you from Kiewa you could have got them from Jim when you gow down in April...............I'll wave the box when you fly over.

My Mum & Dad have a sheep & cattle property just west of Longreach, I have dry wood. :2tsup:

Never say no to a bit of red gum burl, remember, I am travelling in a plane & I can only check in 20 Kg & I will have about a weeks worth of dirty washing to take how. :D

The thought had crossed my mind. :think:

We went to Brissy for 5 days & 4 nights at the start of this month & we only had carry on luggage tickets.
The first 2 nights we were there we went out to shows & did some shopping. We posted some of the shopping & some of the gear we didn't need again. :2tsup:

I'm interested in doing decorated platters... I'm currently going through all my old Woodturning Mags cutting out the good bits.
I plan to put them through the scanner before I stick the in a folder so I'll have them in .pdf format soon.
