I was sitting here a while ago wondering what the world was coming to, Derek looking for ways to sharpen with a machine, seppo bashing has been banned, getting harder to get swear words passed the delete machine, can't keep blokes sensible long enough to encourage a company to open in Aussie land, no new pancake recipe's to try.
Then in the door walked the courier with my long term dream. No not Elle, my long lusted for LV LA SMOOTHER YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA :D :D :D :D
With a high angle blade too.
The world don't look too bad now.

As they say Termite, every silver lining has a ruddy great black cloud wrapped around it.

Chips for tea?

That’s great mate. Unfortunately I am still waiting for my second order from Lee Valley. It has been more then 9 weeks now. :( My first order took 12 weeks. :(

How long did it take you?

Termite,

I've been manfully resisting coming around to borrow your LV cattle-dogs - you see, I found the massive thread about a bulk order from LV, and have been seriously considering joining in.

But now, I think I *have* to visit, if only to welcome the new arrival.

Cheers,
Andrew

Wongo, my deliveries usually take 7 days from time of order.

Andrew, come on round and I'll introduce you.

No way! How much did you pay for the delivery?

BTW I used US Surface Mail.

I always take the 5-10 day airfreight option. For the plane and spare blade it was US$39.90. I find that for what I buy there's not very much difference between this option and 10-12 weeks sea freight. In this case it was US$26.48. The difference is US$13.42 = A$17.45 which is not a lot to save 10-11 weeks in my opinion.

I can wait but with no insurance I just don’t know if it is going to get here.

So what's the go with insurance? I thought "courier" type delveries were covered, but mail isn't, and is it available separately?

P
