Groovers any chance of getting some dimensions of some salt and pepper mills? I know the lengths are determined by the mechanism bought but what are the dimensions of the hole down the middle ect. Regards Damien.

Usually 25mm, but the one up the middle is not critical usually, so up to you. I use Crushgrind mechanisms, and they usually come with a plan of dimensions

See CWS Store - Crushgrind 260 Ceramic Pepper Mill | Carroll's Woodcraft Supplies (http://www.cws.au.com/shop/item/crushgrind-260-ceramic-pepper-mill) They also have other lengths

Also a bit closer to you here Wood N Workshop Products - Crushgrind Ceramic Salt/Pepper Mill (http://www.woodnworkshop.com.au/product_info.php?cPath=27&products_id=2262)

I'd a picture of the diagram plan, but I am having trouble adding images at the moment. Not that I don't know how, just a system problem I am having at the moment, sorry.
