Hamlet vs Big Brother

I have both these systems which were bought by me recently. I intend to do a side-by-side comparison of the two systems and write it up in my new blog (http://turningoutnicely.wordpress.com/) in the next few weeks. Would that make interesting reading? :rolleyes:

However, I'm curious to know is there anyone here using the Hamlet Big Brother, Robert Sorby or the Crown Revolution Systems tools or something similar? If so what do you think of them compared to regular hollowing tools?

Hello, I write from Italy, use the "Big Brother" and "Last Sorby Sovereign", in my experience the Sorby is more stable and smooth to use but with his head a little big, the Big Brother is harder and nervous but has a smaller head and use it where you can not go with the Sorby, I think are two great tools for digging, but they need exercise and strong hands, the Crown Revolution would prove the occasion but for now I just do not know how it works, I hope to check out been helpful, :) sorry for my bad English .. :- ..
P. S. : I changed the screws in the Sorby why not point well, and the joint is moved .. :((

If you posted the complete review here I would definitely read it BUT I will not click through to private blogs however it interesting it may be.

Maybe my loss but hey it's my life and it's too short to follow every link I see.

If you are going to do a comparison, Please just post it here , I also do not like having to off to a seperate private blog for these .

Guys, you misunderstand... this really wasn't an attempt to get members here to go to my blog (I'll admit it looks that way). :-

It's more a question whether you think this comparison might be interesting to others and to get your opinions on these two tool systems. I'll happily post the conclusions of my 'comparison study' here in the forum in the future.

I want to be a contributing member of these forums, this is NOT a personal marketing exercise for my blog...

The only reason I'm asking is that I'm interested in longer term users opinions and wondered if others would be too, before I go through the exercise and put considerable time and effort into writing it up.

I use a Munro mini and std Proformes for deep hollowing; if really deep, I mount them in the Vicmarc hollowing tool support.

Thanks for your reply rsser. I know of the Munro, but not sure what "std Proformes" is or are? Also the Vicmarc hollowing support looks interesting, as whilst I'd seen it online, I've never seen it in action... Is it really strong, because it kinda looks a bit 'flimsy' - is there any reviews you know of anywhere on line?

Is the VM support flimsy? I don't find it so. It's not quite on a par with a 2 metre long captive rig with 60cm wide slots but that's not what I need. It's an articulated arm relying on the tool rest as its front support. From what I know the Elbo is similar.
