Just spent quality time with some members of the Maryborough Qld woodturning group collecting wood.
A farmer near there donated a huge jacaranda with a stump of about 1000mm+ wide. It must have been a beautiful tree but the owner Warren was worried that it might fall on his buildings and cut it down. The family farm has been for around 120 years so god knows how old the tree was. We also got a big hickory tree from Warren.
I drove back to Darwin with a load of Hoop, Camphor and of course the Jacaranda.
If you are visiting Maryborough, call into the Woodturning club at the show grounds or call Brenda on 41298913. They have a great club and am sure they will be happy to see you

Great load of timber :2tsup:

Your man on the saw is a worry though. No safety gear, plus using the saw left handed

I think young Kev would have more experience and knowledge of chainsaws in his 72 years than a lot of so called experts I know.
