My bro gave me some stuff he had and included these ...they seem to be carbide tips and are ground in various shapes. Obviously they need to be held with a holder somehow.
Any one know how and with what...are they available off the shelf?

I tink they are ground the wrong way for a boring bar.

If you are really keen to use them then why not make a holder? they look like they are pretty small so knocking out a holder shouldn't be that big a task. drill a hole big enough that the insert just fits in, couple of small grub screws should hold it ok.
