I am fortunate or unfortunate (depending on the day:D) to work for a laser cutting business.
Some people would consider this crap, but having spoken to some of the optical centre punch devotees at Simon's BBQ, it was apparent that throwing away small chunks of thick acrylic was horrifying....:oo:

So I grabbed half a dozen or so 'slugs' (ie waste from inside of holes). Each piece is 144 x 39mm in size, they will all have a pierce hole and lead-in, and some are burned on the underside (as pictured) where the beam has reflected off the support grids, but if you are machining them to size and polishing them for optical centre punches this shouldn't be a drama.
Cost to you: NOTHING!! Except for the five or ten dollars (or whatever) for a small parcel if you want me to post them out, or if you live near me we can make other arrangements.
