In his book "Turning Boxes", Richard Raffin describes and has a picture of the Klein Jig which he uses for turning threads for lidded boxes. Does anyone have experience of this gadget, or know where it can be bought, price, etc.?

Gooday.

John, I have read the article and seen the device in pictures but I can find no reference to it on the web.

However, all is not lost as I found this article. I also have the book at home and I think this is probably a better way to go.

Hope this helps.

Thanks . On the ball as usual. I bought a set of thread chasers from Ernie Newman at the Wagga Turnabout last March, and although I have a Vicmarc 300 with electronic control(without a doubt the best lathe in the world) and variable speed from 30 to 3000 rpm. I hav'nt really got the hang of turning threads. The article you referred me to will definitely help though, and I will now try again
Thanks & Regards.
