mitre trimmer

has anyone any experience with mitre trimmers for producing perfect tight corners for picture frames? As in, rather than spend $1000 on a second-hand guillotine, is it better to spend $300 on a trimmer?

As a used guillotine is worth nearer 2 grand than 1, I have ordered a miter trimmer from carba-tec. I'll keep you posted.
