Hi to all. I am a new member after having been shown this forum by Rowen. (I place full blame on his shoulders) Had a good look around the forum after registering. I now feel the overwhelming need to abuse myself and make some quirky remark about being ugly.
Looks a great site. Been turning since I was 10 years old and first time on a forum. Looking forward to the intellectual stimulation that I am sure you will all abuse at the first opportunity.

Welcome to the madhouse Treeboy.

The forum rules are simple but implicit. You won't know you've put your foot in it until you get a bunch of 'pour the poop on' replies ;)

There's a vast amount of wisdom accumulated here and in the archives. When you need to plumb it use the search function, or better, google-advanced limited to this site.

Thanks for sharing that with us Treeboy!

You'll be right at home, there's more than one of you here.

Mate, if you're not wearing specs and turning grey or losing the thatch altogether, you've wandered into the wrong night club ;)

trust me "treeboy" is being kind. Its more like "felled, milled and well dried with no moisture left in it - boy". But he sure can handle his tool(s)

Welcome Treeboy. Just remember it costs a lot of money to get expert advice. Here you can be abuse, thought of not in a good light, judged, criticised and blamed for free.

Can't get much for free now-a-days, but you gotta take what you can.

On a more serious side, this forum is great, it has a lot of interesting topics, and some topics which will help you in nearly all aspects of wood workings.

Hope you stick around and enjoy the site.

Cheers

Kris
