View Full Version : Mid Century Tapered Legs

This might not be the right place to be posting this but I am inquiring where to buy/get made mid century tapered legs (probably about 200-300mm in length).
Obviously it would be great for me to make them myself, however due to a lack of funds, buying a lathe is a bit out of reach.

Some ideas of a cheap places to get them made or to buy them would be great/ prices of cheap lathes would be good if anyone knows :)

This would be an example of the sort of leg I am looking for (The brackets aren't necessary)

Can get something pretty close to that in Bunnings of all places. Or if you want more exotic wood someone on here will turn up soon. I could do them but I am in Melbourne.:U

It's hard to tell from the photos, are they a straight taper, or is the taper offset to one side? What sort of timber are you looking to have them done in?

You could look up Rob McKee in Brisbane. He is a gifted spindle turner.
